Scot, Tim, Keith,
This morning at the 8AM SSG relayed that they have a few more functional PSS Certification items related to Hall D and Hall D Tagger to complete. They're hoping to knock these out this afternoon, but would need exclusive access to the Hall and Tagger.
Would 1500 today work for SSG to have Hall and tagger?
Thanks,
Daniel

>From this morning's 8AM meeting: Desire to lock-up Hall D and Hall D Tagger this afternoon to complete some functional PSS Certification items missed last week. Does 1500 work for lock-ups of Hall D and Hall D Tagger?
BSY can be locked up whenever for LAM1C T/Sing by DC Power (will require PSS admin lock removal).
2025-02-26 20:47 COMMENT by sbruhwel
We finished the BCM tests from yesterday, tested the BSY 1C,2C,3C and LAM3C box supplies PSS interface and worked as designed. We where not able to test the LAM1C or TSB5C. DC power will work on these supplies and we will test them when operational. We also have one test that we needed the ILD to be unlocked to perform but couldn't unlock the dump because there are personnel locks on it and couldn't get them removed. We still need to perform the BCM/kicker tests and pockel cell tests that requires beam for the tests.

UPDATE: I'm hearing that there are BCM tests that need xD to be closed up in order to complete. I have informed the hall about this and they will clear the hall by 1400 to allow lock ups.

Description of Task
PSS System and its components must be periodically tested to assure proper function and adequate personnel protection. SSG will perform PSS Certification tests of all segments of the CEBAF ring and all experimental halls. This task is initiated with the administrative LOTO of PSS interlocked. This first step will be performed at the beginning of SAD.
Impact Statement
Task requires locking up sections of the machine and halls each day per schedule (subject to change):
Day 1 - Halls A, B, C Day 2 - BSY, S. Linac + (Halls A, B, C backup) Day 3 - N. Linac, Hall D, Tagger + (S. Linac backup) Day 4 - N. Linac, INJ + (Hall D, Tagger backup) Day 5 - CARMS: All Segments + (reminder of Static Tests)
Day 6 - Repairs, retests as necessary (any segment) Day 7 - Functional: All Segments Day 8 - Functional: All Segments Day 9 - Functional: All Segments Day 10 - Backup
Any scheduling changes or additional dates will be communicated to affected parties ASAP.
Hardware. Software. Engineering. or Design Changes Required
N/A
Special Hazards/Safety Considerations
The PSS Static Certification Test procedures require that personnel are present in the beam enclosure while the CEBAF/Halls PSS is configured for operation of the PSS interlocked equipment generating hazards in the beam enclosure and the pre-mitigation risk code in this configuration is assessed at level 4. These hazards are mitigated to risk code 1 by LOTO of all PSS interlocked hazard generating equipment as described in the SSG Certification procedure, making it safe for personnel to be present in the beam enclosure during the PSS Static Certification Tests.
Oxygen Deficiency Hazards present in the beam enclosure are mitigated by installed and operational ODH Monitoring System and passive controls like lintels and vent stacks.
Special Checkout Instructions
SSG will use PSS Certification checklists to verify system's functionality.
