Subject: Ensuring our guests are arriving with the proper documents to gain access

Good morning everyone. In Site Security we have been advertising the REAL ID requirements. I am asking for your assistance in spreading the word to anyone talking with guests before their arrival? I have attached a print screen of the registration webpage where I placed the REAL ID requirements should this help.

For access registration, guests need to attach a REAL ID driver’s license (DL) to their online access registration checklist. If they do not have a DL that is compliant, please have them also provide an additional document that is REAL ID compliant (see below). The guest will also need to bring the same documents with them when visiting Jefferson Lab.

Individuals requiring LSSO Badges will also need to show a REAL ID Driver’s License to the Badging Office and an additional REAL ID document if the license is not REAL ID compliant.

Temporary IDs (even the temporary REAL ID) and other temporary docs will not be accepted.

Also, not too long ago in researching access for the User Board, I discovered guests can check their access to ensure they are good before they arrive on campus. Users who have already submitted an access registration can go back into the Guest Access Portal and see what their building accesses are and check on their access registration time period to make sure it is correct.

If the User has not received a badge, the "Acquire JLab Badge" on the "Before Arrival Checklist" will remind them to make a badging appointment and give them the link to do so. I understand a REAL ID reminder has also been placed in the Badging Appointment portal by the Badging Office.

If, however, the User already has a badge, they can click on the red wording to the right of "Badge Information" and it will provide them badging/access information.
