[Halld_src] Hall D RC Daily Report 26 Nov 2021

Dear collaborators/colleagues/friends,

Hall-D RC report for Friday 25th of November, 2021 (Black Friday, what did you order?)

  *   Accelerator
     *   No real problems with beam delivery. Major causes for beam down:
        *   Cleaning Up Orbit to mitigate BLM trips --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950944

  *   Experiment/Hall
     *   In general the experiment has been running smoothly and the data production is going well.
     *   ~ 5:20 it was noted that beam current was slowly increasing up to 180nA for unknown reasons and it was back to normal after call MCC --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950840
     *   ~ 5:50 RCM was showing no DAQ rate with beam on. Sergey rebooted ROC TOF1 and RCM was started again solving the problem --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950850
     *   ~8:40 The goniometer showed some problems changing from 0/90 PERP to 35/145 PERP getting stuck during the change. Returning to 0/90 and trying again solved the issue --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950944
     *   It looks like that rootspy is generating some issues at the time of creating the elog entry, but more a delay in producing the entry than the app itself --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3951184

  *   Run Plan
     *   run on carbon at 150nA
     *   run 250M events or 2h (rates are quite close to those in He, so 2h should be enough)
     *   rotate radiators 0/90, 45/135 in PARA and PERP configuration (both)
     *   DO NOT TOUCH/CHANGE ANYTHING SENSIBLE THAT COULD NEED THE CALL OF TECHNICIANS!!!  <-- this is doing great!!

NOTE TO EXPERTS:

  *   Beni has noted that "In the monitoring timing plots the time difference between detectors and RF is slightly off for all detectors by about 0.5ns", perhaps is a calibration issue to be addressed. I appreciate any follow-up regarding this note.

RC MEETING:

THERE WON'T BE RC MEETING ON SATURDAY!!  (Probably, no RC meetings until Monday, unless SOMETHING happens and need to be reported. *fingers cross*)

ANALYSIS MEETING:

At the time of this email, it is NOT schedule an analysis meeting for Saturday. In case it happens it will be notified through the maillist  halld_srcct_analysis at jlab.org
