Agreed that the cutoff is from the electron gap: that’s not being questioned, but that doesn’t answer the question of why it depletes high momentum tracks in MC much more than in data. Compare thingy to thingy_mc: (BTW, there is something very weird about the bounding boxes for these PDF, so they might not look right). Then there are the additional steps visible in smallthetay for data: that was what Matt was asking about. I think those must be crystal positions in the second row.
