Hi Vertexers,
I would like to start regular vertexing meetings again specifically for 2016 vertexing analysis. These meetings were essential for producing our 2015 vertexing results. I can imagine our standard analysis meetings will be dominated by 2019 analysis efforts, and I want to make sure 2016 vertexing gets proper attention.
For 2015, we had two types of meetings - one specific and more detailed meeting to those actively working on the analysis (Holly, Bradley, Matt G. and myself for 2015) and a more general meeting to supplement the regular analysis meeting to get feedback from the remainder of the analysis group. Both were extremely valuable. I plan to do this again, alternating weeks between the two types of meetings, but keeping the meeting at the regular time. We will start with this and make adjustments if necessary. So far, the core group for 2016 vertexing is Matt G. PF, and myself. Please let me know if you are interested in making major contributions (including the analysis note) or even contributing to minor homework assignments.
I have started a doodle pole for our regular meetings starting next week. There are significant time constraints due to time differences between SLAC and JLab (as well as lunch schedule) and existing meetings. I have selected 5 reasonable times, if none of these work, we can reconsider. If you are interested in keeping track of the 2016 vertexing analysis, please fill out the poll soon.
Doodle poll is here: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__doodle.com_poll_8z35vt85xtp8gqnf&d=DwIFAw&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=JaSEOiNc_6InrJmbYDvKU2tZqhhONpIkbyl_AUnkDSY&m=ngw0AEDmy6eEMSliqpkRWOTIuYg6F-IYbEG2e6wtRqQ&s=q556il4R2yT2ngYN46imil3pxm6eXQOMOJFMhKGpjYw&e=
(proposed times in PST are 11am Monday, 10 or 11 am Wednesday, and 10 or 11 am Thursday)
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
Matt Solt
