Hi,

I pasted the minutes from the HPS controls meeting held on October 29
to this message. They are also at the meeting page on confluence:

Hovanes.

    Minutes

Present at JLab: Neres, Stepan, Krister, Bryan, F.-X., Ken, Hovanes

Present at SLAC: Pelle

            SVT Interlock

Hovanes discussed his proposal for hardware the SVT interlocks:

  * The overall cost is expected to be on the order of $6K. In addition,
we can expand it to include 3 more thermocouple input modules.
  * According to the Andreas Rubin from Wiener, the old controllers for
MPOD with LEMO connectors do not have the circuitry wired. We need
to buy new controllers to have the controller-wise interlocks.
  * Pelle suggested to go with the controller fast-shutdown signal to
turn of all the channels on the chassis. Only one MPOD chassis will
be required y SVT, and ECAL LV will not be served from the same chassis.
  * F.-X. suggested to use fast shutdown (FSD) signal from the
accelerator to turn off the power supplies, but not the chiller. The
idea was supported by the overwhelming majority.

            Beamline

Krister did not have time to work on HPS controls, busy with the
superconducting magnets for CLAS12. No progress with the magnet
controls. Hovanes agreed to send Krister a time-ordered list of tasks
for HPS controls that Krister needs to work on.

Sergey needs to know the list of the IOCs and the type of the
controllers to be installed in Hall B for HPS slow controls.

We need to connect the Frascati magnet on the space frame to mini-T
power supply soon to ramp it up to 1050 Amps and to measure the field.
No EPICS controls are needed.

ECAL light monitoring system and ECAL voltage GUIs

Ken Livingston from Glasgow told us the the control modules for the HPS
ECAL and CLAS12 forward tagger calorimeter are identical. Therefore,
Glasgow will provide the EPICS support for the ECAL monitoring system.

Bryan McKinnon from Glasgow will work on the ECAL and SVT voltage GUIs
in EPICS. The preliminary plan is to create one main voltage GUI for
ECAL and SVT, and then use CLAS scripts and programs to generate the
detailed GUIs displaying the voltage parameters.

Stepan will send Hovanes, Nerses and F.-X. an Excel spreadsheet with the
new HV grouping for ECAL.

The location of the CAEN SY1527 crate used for CLAS DVCS is not known.
Sergey probably knows the location of the crate.
