Hi,

the minutes of the HPS slow controls meetings are attached, they have

    Minutes

Present at JLab: Stepan, Krister, Hovanes

Present at SLAC: Sho, Pele, Takashi


          Motor Stages for SLAC

  * Hovanes is working on setting up Linux OS on a desktop computer,
    then will setup VxWorks kernel and EPICS
  * Sergey gave Hovanes a minicrate and a controller for the motor
    controls setup
  * Krister will give Hovanes the OMS VME board and one OMS motor driver
    box on Wednesday
  * Krister will look into what is needed to have the motor here
    connected to the box, may need to order some connectors.
      o Leads, encoder, limit switches (NC according to Takashi)
  * Takashi expects 2-3 weeks worth of paperwork to transfer loan
    equipment between DOE labs
  * Stepan will talk to property people at JLab regarding paperwork


          Beamline Magnet

  * Frascati magnet tests were successful, achieved 1100 A per coil.
    Dependence of the field versus current is taken.
  * Next step is the miniT power supply controls. miniT power supply
    will not move, will stay where it is.
  * Pair spectrometer power supply will need to move downstream. All
    magnet and power supply moves are on Doug schedule. Hall B techs
    will help Krister with cabling the power supplies.
  * Krister will check with Charles Hightower about requirements
    regarding the power cables in the cables trays.
  * Takashi asked who will control the chicane power supplies. At this
    point it is Hall B, but it may be necessary to give the control to
    accelerator operators.


          Interlock PLC procurement

  * Hovanes will setup a meeting with Hovanes, Krister and Dave Butler
    to finalize the list of items to be procured.
      o Once the required part numbers are identified, Hovanes will send
        the list to Marco for procurement.
  * Stepan has a Windows-based computer that may be suitable for
    RSLogix5000 installation.
  * Krister will try to use Hall D license until Hall B decides on
    license purchase.
  * Hovanes will prepare the description of the interlock system for
    people working on its development.



    Action Items

 1. OMS VME board and driver box (Krister)
 2. Computer setup for motor control (Hovanes)
 3. VME crate with a VxWorks controller for motor control (Hovanes)
 4. Paperwork for property transfer from JLab to SLAC (Stepan)
 5. Document describing the SVT interlock system (Hovanes)
 6. Setup a meeting with Dave Butler for PLC procurement. (Hovanes)
 7. Check the requirements for cable trays for power cable (Krister)
