[Hps] Nominations for PPC and EC open until May 15

Dear HPS,

Our Bylaws call for elections to the PPC and EC at our next collaboration meeting.

Members of the EC are F-X Girod, Takashi Maruyama, Raphael Dupre, Tim Nelson, and the three spokespeople. Two of these, F-X and Takashi, will have completed their 2 year terms by the time of the next collaboration meeting.

Accordingly, the HPS EC is accepting nominations for two positions on the EC. Any collaboration member may serve. The two retiring members may be nominated for another term. Please feel free to nominate yourself if you are interested in serving. Responsibilities are described in the Bylaws:  https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/HPS+Collaboration

Members of the PPC include Rouven Essig, Larry Weinstein, Michel Guidal, Maurik Holtrop, and Marzio De Napoli. All but Marzio are completing their first two year term; Marzio has just begun.

Please nominate HPS collaborators for four positions on the PPC. As for the EC, any collaboration member may serve. The four retiring members may be nominated for another term. And please feel free to nominate yourself. Responsibilities are described in the Bylaws, above.

Please send your nominations for EC and PPC to me, as Chair of the HPS EC. Nominations will be open until May 15. The candidates for election to the EC and PPC will be publicized soon after that time, and an election scheduled for the Collaboration Meeting at JLAB in June.

Membership on both these committees will become increasingly important as HPS enters its first real data taking phase and begins publishing papers and disseminating its results.
