Subject: [Hps] Do you wish to remain an active HPS Collaboration Member? RESPONSE NEEDED BY AUGUST 1
Dear Members of the HPS Collaboration,
Our current list of HPS Collaboration members has grown considerably over the past five (!) years. It is time to bring it up to date as we prepare to plan for our first regular HPS shifts this fall.
HPS expects to run shifts for beamline and detector commissioning beginning in October. Shifts will be distributed among all participating institutions in proportion to the number of HPS collaboration members at that institution.
Physicists and students are responsible for taking shifts; engineers and computer scientists are responsible for supporting operations of HPS as needed during shift taking, but need not take shifts. Our shift policy is here: https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/HPS+Collaboration
Please take a minute to let us know if you wish to continue being an HPS Collaboration Member, Yes or No.
Your response should be sent to the three spokespeople, Maurik Holtrop, John Jaros, and Stepan Stepanyan, cc'd above.
If you don't respond by August 1, we shall assume you wish to drop your HPS Collaboration membership.
Our present Collaboration list is given here:
https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/hpsg/HPS+Membership+List
Inclusion on this list grants members the rights outlined in our bylaws (see the first website above) and requires their help in running HPS. Please do let us know if there are omissions or corrections in the membership list.
For HPS,
Maurik, John, and Stepan
