Subject: [Hps] SVT is at 0.5 mm and holding
Dear all,
At 10pm today, May 12, we set both top and bottom SVTs at 0.5mm from the
beam plane, after a carefully stepping in and out each individually and
watching
occupancies and currents. Occupancies and currents look just fine on
both top
and bottom Layer-1s (axial and stereo).
Beam is stable (normal 4-5 trips/hour). We already took one run, 5623,
with 69M
events. The DAQ is 87% live, trigger rate is ~18.5kHz, 16kHz of which
are Pair-1
(or A') triggers. According to the monitoring recon the number of (+-)
tracks went
up by at least x3, with lot more 6 layer tracks.
This is a great success! [even if we blew the SVT before you will read
this email.]
Congratulations HPS!
Regards, Stepan
