[Hps] HPS Collaboration Dinner!

Dear HPS Friends and Collaborators,

For those of you coming to SLAC for the collaboration meeting next week, I am pleased to announce arrangements for our collaboration dinner Tuesday evening at Burma Ruby, a notable Burmese restaurant located in the heart of downtown Palo Alto:

If you cannot yet put the letters “Ph.D.” after your name, but plan to be able to someday, you are in luck. For you, the price will be $30, including a draft beer from a selection of local microbrews (or a burmese iced tea or other drink of similar price), tax, and gratuity.  Seriously, if you are a student, you’ll have to work to convince me you are smart enough to complete your thesis if you pass this up. (Oh, and no wiseguys among the engineers: this price doesn’t apply unless you are a grad student, OK?)

Otherwise, the price will be $60, UNLESS you can put the letters “Prof.” in front of your name, in which case there will be an extra $10 surcharge.  (That’s what you get for having me organize the dinner, John!)
