Hi Clive,
I’ve ridden by bicycle from home (La Honda) for events a number of times and it does make the visit even sweeter. I thought about trying to organize a hike from Monte Bello OSP over Black Mountain for those so inclined, but with meetings in the morning, there just won’t be time. I hope you’ll join us, in any case, as it should be a good time!

On the way there are views of the bay, as attached, if weather conditions are typical, and even as far north as San Francisco and the Bay Bridge. I don’t know if the groups have managed to walk back after the event. . .

In order to enjoy a relaxing Wednesday afternoon, which will be much needed in the middle of this busy week, I would like to propose a visit to one of the most famous vineyards and wineries in California, which is in the Santa Cruz Mountains only about 30 minutes from SLAC:

Meanwhile, the scenery at Ridge, looking down on the entire Bay Area on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, is absolutely spectacular.

The cost will be between $30 and $45 per person depending upon how large our group is.
