Dear HPS,

Unfortunately, I have some bad news for this weekend’s running: there will be no beam. Shifts for this weekend are cancelled.

We just learned that there was a second trip of the CHL1 and OPS decided to not try to recover from it but instead execute the plan clear the contamination in the heat exchanger. See the logbook for technical details on this issue. The total repair time is estimated to take 1 week. The hope is that the machine can be fully restored before the next weekend.
