Dear HPS,
The April APS meeting is a joint particle physics, nuclear physics, and astrophysics meeting that DOE pays attention to.
It will be held in Columbus, Ohio on April 14-17, 2018.
HPS will submit its first physics publication before this meeting, and should take full advantage of publicizing its results
and status to the community and to the DOE there. This is an important talk for HPS.
The DPF has agreed to our organizing a "focus session" on "Visible Dark Photon Searches." The session will include
a theory overview introduction (24 min), and three experimental talks, each 24 min, from LHCb, HPS, and SeaQuest.
If you have played a significant role in the 2015 bump hunt analysis and are interested in presenting this talk, please
let the HPS PPC know.
Once the PPC has selected a speaker, that individual will need to prepare an abstract for the APS,
get PPC approval for it, and be sure to submit that abstract well before the deadline of Jan. 12. The abstract must refer
to the category F11 which identifies our focus session.
Please let PPCif you are interested in presenting the talk.
Thanks,
John
