Dear Colleagues,
This is a reminder to register for the UCLA Dark Matter 2018 Conference (February 21 to 23, 2018).
We are also pleased to announce the new Dark Matter Advanced Training Institute (February 18 to 20, 2018) which will take place just prior to the conference. Information on both events can be found at https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__conferences.pa.ucla.edu_dark-2Dmatter-2D2018&d=DwIGaQ&c=lz9TcOasaINaaC3U7FbMev2lsutwpI4--09aP8Lu18s&r=Rgs3Yxo2iHTpix0LRMtuW_n2HKJ2Zv6wwfRnZ1IeAqo&m=ZjurrBb0QLKHvJvCLiHPKwaeVkA2SIn1TdchfAk7gEM&s=eKzF12ELLQtuICH53wVcX_E3cDKDt1y5ampkK6DdqbQ&e=
To register for the conference and upload your title and abstract for proposed or invited talks, please go to the conference’s Indico website: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__indico.cern.ch_event_653314&d=DwIGaQ&c=lz9TcOasaINaaC3U7FbMev2lsutwpI4--09aP8Lu18s&r=Rgs3Yxo2iHTpix0LRMtuW_n2HKJ2Zv6wwfRnZ1IeAqo&m=ZjurrBb0QLKHvJvCLiHPKwaeVkA2SIn1TdchfAk7gEM&s=CAEhcxQbg-7-wqeLnUoxHmQYo2IVJFp5A15dBIHAg7A&e= . Early Registration is $450 through November 21. Regular Registration is $550 from November 22, through January 21, and late Registration is $650 from January 22 onwards.
This year we are introducing the Advanced Training Institute (ATI) on dark matter for advanced graduate students already engaged in research in any of the dark matter subfields. The trainees will benefit from hearing lectures by forefront researchers in their respected subfields, participating in ample question and answer sessions with lecturers, participating in the Dark Matter 2018 Conference, and from exposure of their work in front of experts through poster sessions during the first day of the conference. You can see the topics and lecturers of the 2018 ATI at https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__conferences.pa.ucla.edu_ATI-2D2018&d=DwIGaQ&c=lz9TcOasaINaaC3U7FbMev2lsutwpI4--09aP8Lu18s&r=Rgs3Yxo2iHTpix0LRMtuW_n2HKJ2Zv6wwfRnZ1IeAqo&m=ZjurrBb0QLKHvJvCLiHPKwaeVkA2SIn1TdchfAk7gEM&s=0tWsHkPgrXVoVA2H8pYUR8lr85FQOc9BzKfn7JPEM6c&e=
Please let your students know of this opportunity and encourage them to apply to the 2018 ATI at the website above. A letter of recommendation from their advisor needs to be uploaded. A pdf file of the 2018 ATI poster is attached here. We would be grateful if you could print the poster and display it where interested advanced students could see it.
All ATI trainees will have their conference fee waived. Additionally, limited financial assistance is available for travel and accommodation expenses on a case-by-case basis. Applications received by November 20, 2017 will receive full consideration.
We look forward to seeing you and your students at UCLA in February 2018.
