[Hps] Run summary

Dear all,

Congratulations to everyone, we completed the run! Special thanks to those who helped with shifts during the 3-week extension and of course all our experts-on-call who kept the experiment going. While run did not go as we were expecting, many difficulties with beam and detector, we still managed to collect about 58% of expected data. From June 17 to September 9 HPS reported 727.7 hours of ABUs, or about 30 days which is few days shy of what we originally were scheduled.

Since the run is over, we will go back to our routine with weekly meetings on Wednesday’s at 11:30am EST/8:30 am PST. I am sure together with the analysis efforts (thanks to Matt G. for resuming the regular analysis meetings) in coming months we will discuss the run in particular what we can do better for the next run.
