Dear Collaborators,
I’m sure you are aware of the Snowmass exercise, which is currently underway to define the possibilities for the next P5, which will lay out the next 10 year plan in particle physics research in the US. As a starting point, “Letters of Intent” are being collected to create a roster of potential activities in particle physics over the coming years. These LOI - limited to two pages - are due on August 31. Earlier this summer, we discussed the importance of submitting an LOI for HPS so that are activities are “on the radar” in this process. Towards this end, I have drafted an LOI for HPS based upon our recent submission to the PAC, which you can find here:

Once some key people have had a chance to edit and refine this document, we will need to converge quickly on the author list. By default, I would propose to include the full list of collaborators, but am open to other suggestions.
Best,
Tim
