Software & Computing Round Table, February 18, 11:00 a.m. (EDT)
Dear all:
In light of the ever growing role of Software & Computing in HEP, NP and related fields, Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and Jefferson Lab (JLAB) are organizing a Software & Computing Round Table to foster the interplay of computing and science. The monthly round table forum aims to encourage knowledge transfer and to promote common projects within our scientific community.
In the Software & Computing Round Table on Tuesday, February 18, at 11:00 a.m. (EDT), we will discuss “Programming for Future Architects”:
* Andrew Siegel (ANL, UChicago) will present his R&D on high-level interfaces in the Exascale Computing Project (ECP).
* Balint Joo (JLAB) will review in his presentation on "Lattice QCD, Programming Models, and Porting LQCD Codes to Exascale” related R&D in the Lattice QCD community.
* Charles Leggett (LBNL) will discuss "Challenges Facing HEP Computing on Heterogeneous Architectures in the Exascale Era."
At JLAB we will meet in F224-225. For remote participation, we will use BlueJeans (ID: 373678588). You will be able to join via browser:
