Hi All,

I hope everyone had a good break; time to get back to work!

We will have a 2-day analysis workshop January 21-22 focusing on the 2016 analyses. Topics will include:

  * Finalizing (or finalizing the plan to get) event selection

     * Discussion of cuts that we can make common between vert/BH

  * Statistical treatment of selected sample and implementation

     * Signal extraction, discovery thresholds, limit setting
     * Integrating systematic errors into this

  * A heavy dose of systematic errors

     * What are they and how do we estimate them
     * Deficiencies in MC and how to address them
     * Corrections we can implement to MC to reduce these

  *   Documentation

     * Support notes that would be useful?
     * Best way to make recipes for repeating analysis/future analysis

I’ll put together a loose agenda in the coming days. We’ll have some sessions for the full group to discuss common issues and also some break-out BH/Vertexing-only sessions. We’ll have zoom meetings for all sessions. Everyone is welcome to attend and contribute; please come to as much of the workshop as you can. In particular it would be very useful to have RC and EC-observers join in to get an early jump on the review.

Thanks, Matt
