[Hps] [EXTERNAL] PAC review outcome, and no HPS meeting today

Dear All,

In case you had not heard, our presentation at the PAC 48 meeting last Friday went well, and the “A” rating and remaining running time for HPS were re-approved. The comments from the committee were entirely positive, and this re-endorsement of the experiment will be important to pressing our case for more beam time. We will let you know when the full report is released.

A number of people worked hard to prepare material for the proposal and talk, and this hard work meant we had everything we needed. With this hurdle behind us, we can refocus that effort more directly on what is ahead: completing the 2016 publication, developing the 2019 analysis, and preparing to run next year.  I think we should focus on that realignment of our efforts this week and meet to talk about priorities for the next few months next week.
