[Hps] [EXTERNAL] Continuing the alignment discussion

Hi Cam, PF, Norman, and Matt,

Clearly there was a discussion to continue today, and although I didn’t want to take the whole meeting down the rabbit hole on details, I think we are in a place where we are getting a lot more information from the data, and have a lot of the key issues and possible approaches clearly in mind.  This is where rapid progress can be made.

Since we aren’t planning to have a Tuesday meeting next week, I’m wondering if there is another forum where those who are interested can get together, list some of the things we want to look at, and discuss our ideas.  It’s OK if this can’t happen until after Thanksgiving (I hesitate to call it a workshop, just a meeting that is narrower than the whole gang and broader than 1-1), but I don’t want to lose momentum (pun intended) on this, which is pretty good right now.

Of course, others in HPS who are interested - have thoughts or questions - would be encouraged to join, but I’d like to keep it to people that really want to engage, so I’m not even sure the Tuesday meeting is what we need.
