Subject: JLab Scientific Computing Maintenance Day Announcement - February 18th, 2025
Dear Users,
We would like to inform you that scheduled maintenance will take place on February 18th, 2025. The focus of this maintenance will be on the clean-up of the deprecated /site area. Please note the following:
/site Clean-up:

  *
This maintenance DOES NOT affect the farm but may impact usage by other systems.
  *   Hall RHEL9 systems should already have the new RPMs installed for jasmine-client, jcache-client, etc.
  *   Affected areas include:
     *
/site/bin/{jcert, jget, jput, swif}
     *   /site/scicomp/*

SSL Certificate Renewals:

  *   Updates will be applied to:
     *   jupyterhub
     *   htvault
     *   Other systems as needed

Farm Cluster & Code Updates:

  *   Standard patches will be applied to ifarm/farm cluster nodes and code.jlab.org.

While we expect the outage to be brief, we are committed to minimizing downtime as much as possible. Please plan accordingly, and do not hesitate to reach out to us at helpdesk at jlab.org<mailto:helpdesk at jlab.org> for assistance or further information.
