Starting Tuesday morning, March 10th, Multi-factor authentication will be implemented for JLab's  Jupyter service,

The first time logging in after the change you will be prompted to setup Multi-factor authentication by scanning a barcode with an authenticator app. Supported apps include Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator (already used for Office 365), Duo, and

 any other app or software that supports the Time-based One-time Password Algorithm.</div>

For logins after this enrollment process, you will authenticate to jupyterhub using your JLab CUE credentials and the numeric code generated by the authenticator app.</div>

This change is being made to enhance the cyber security of the Jupyter service, which is accessible from the internet as well as on-site and provides direct, interactive access to the Lab's scientific computing resources.</div>
