Dear all,

As you know the deadline for sending the draft LOI to Dave Ireland is
May 4. Out next meeting as a group is less than 2 weeks before that
deadline.

I have attached an updated draft version of the LOI for your review.
There are still a number of things missing, e.g. Npipi event generator
description and rate estimates. Much of this exists but it needs to be
put into the text with figures added.

Also as we discussed some of the KLambda figures need updating, e.g.
upper panel in Fig.9 has incorrect angle range for protons.
Also, what are the cuts on the phi angle for electron acceptance
(inspect the FASTMC version used). They look too narrow.

Also, I like to get from Evgenii the latex file for his note.pdf so I
can copy the formalism. Also, could you do rate estimates if
we split the beam energies into 6.6GeV (20days), 8.8GeV (40days) and
11.0 (60 days). The latter would run simultaneously with the meson
spectroscopy proposal. It would be nice to put this info into a table
that could have some other information as well.

===> From everybody I hope to get serious comments of the text, the
division into sections/subsections, and many comments on how to improve
the entire DRAFT. Please sent me latex segments that would either
replace some of the current text, or add to the text. You may also
annotate the attached pdf file and send it back.

Let me have whatever you can provide by next Wednesday, so I can prepare
a better DRAFT for next Friday's meeting. After Friday I suggest we
open up the distribution list to invite other collaborators to join the
project. Any suggestions?

All the best,
Volker
