  Dear Evgeny,

Please implement in your code as the hybrid baryon the state with J^P=1/2+ with mass 2.2 GeV. Compute chi^2/d.p. from difference of dsigma/domega computed for the state with J^P=3/2 at running W and reference cross section for the state with frozen mass=2.2 GeV and J^P=1/2. A1/2 and A3/2 for both states should be at the threshold values. After that try we A1/2 and A3/2 larger and smaller than threshold values. Let's speak tomorrow 9.00 PM MSK.

  Best Regards,
                      Victor

Subject: [Hybrid baryons] suggestion

Hi all,

In our proposal discussion it was often mentioned that the so-called
Delta(chi^2) graph, which is based on checking the effect of additional
hybrid state(s) on the chi^2 vs W by checking a model with the same model.

That is, of course, correct. However, we could do a little better by
analyzing the model with the hybrid state included by checking it with
a model that has another hybrid state with different J^P quantum
numbers. So, we would simulate data that includes, for example a J^P =
1/2^+ and scan it with a model that includes, e.g. a 3/2^+ state or a
3/2^-, etc.. That graph should show a quite different Delta(chi^2) vs W
behavior (at least that's what I hope for) than the one where the model
1/2^+ is checked with the same 1/2^+ resonance.

If these graphs looks interesting we could use this technique to test
against resonances with other J^P values.

Regards,
Volker
