Yes, absolutely!
I was going to draft an email to reach out to you but you beat me to it.
I’ve cc’d the whole hydra team so our experimental physics software a computing infrastructure (EPSCI) group lead David Lawrence will receive the message. He is more connected to some of the robotic automations.
Let’s see if we can get something on the schedule relatively soon so that things are more fresh in the mind
Thanks for reaching out and I am glad you enjoyed the open house

Tom, Torri,
Was nice meeting you Saturday – the Open House was fantastic (kudos to the whole JLab team!) and thank you for showing me Hydra – that was an unexpected connection, but very exciting seeing what you’ve been able to accomplish and was really interesting hearing how it works. (Please verify I got your email addresses correct.) I’ve CCd Charles Liles, our Langley Research Center (LaRC) Center Operations Directorate (COD) Smart Infrastructure lead, and one of NASA’s best Data Science experts. We’ve been pursuing similar efforts for AI/ML anomaly detection here at LaRC, and I think it would be very worthwhile to schedule time to talk more to share notes between the JLab and LaRC teams.
Would you like to meet and talk more?
I’m also interested to hear about your research/observations for operator attentiveness and the real-world benefits the automation is bringing. I’d like to hear more about the tunnel and experiment hall inspection robots, too.
