You have been included in the initial distribution of a new JLab email
list: ICS-Security.

The ICS-Security email list provides a forum for Lab users, developers,
and managers of industrial control devices, such as PLCs and their
attendant programming systems, that are used in safety, control, data
acquisition, and environmental monitoring equipment. Routinely, it will
be a low-traffic list.

One specific use of the list is the ready distribution of security
alerts from vendors and from Homeland Security's Industrial Control
Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT --
http://www.us-cert.gov/control_systems/ics-cert/).

As a forum, this list is open for posting by its members, who are
encouraged to submit questions or information about operational and
security issues involving ICS devices.

In addition to engineers, programmers, and buyers of ICS systems and
devices, managers of some groups that use these devices have been
included. While most of the messages on this list will be highly
technical or will deal with devices that are used by only a small number
of people, the awareness of the basic issues and the frequency of
potential security problems relating to these critical devices should
help inform management decisions. Even if you will not need the
technical information provided by the list, you are encouraged to retain
your subscription for a while to sample the traffic.

If you wish to unsubscribe, there are links at the bottom of this
message to the subscription management page.

If you have any questions or know someone else that would benefit from
the content, please contact me at 269-6376 or via email (rlukens at jlab.org).

Thank you.

Bob
