I think I have a more-or-less working implementation of the island algorithm on github in the FCALIsland branch.   It's in a state that can probably be tried out, but it still needs some work.    I am using a function (as opposed to a lookup table) for the shower profile  from and old document Ilya sent me  (but with fewer parameters for now) and I still not quite sure what the magnitude of one of the parameters should be.  I put in a guess that seems to work.

To try it out you need to use the -PDEFTAG:DFCALCluster=Island command line parameter after building the branch.
