***Off-Season Golf Rates start TOMORROW - 1 November***

JBLE Golf is welcoming in the off-season with a great off-season golf special.  This golf special is good for golf with a cart at either of our JBLE Golf locations.  Starting on 1 November 2015 you will only pay the following for a round of golf:

OPEN - 1059 (18 Holes with cart)
E4 & Below & Seniors - $20 (Monday-Thursday), $23 (Friday-Sunday/Holidays)
E5 & Up/Auth. Patrons - $25 (Monday-Thursday), $29 (Friday-Sunday /Holidays)

1100-Close (All you can play with a cart)
E4 & Below & Seniors - $18 (Monday-Thursday), $23 (Friday-Sunday /Holidays)

***3 Club Tournament - 21 November - The Pines Golf Course***

Have you ever been so frustrated on the golf course that you have thought you could do better with only 3 of your favorite clubs?  Well, here is your chance.JBLE Golf will be hosting a 3 club tournament.  We will play 18 holes and you get to choose which 3 clubs and only three clubs to play with on Saturday 21 November.  There will be prizes give out for gross and net scores.  We will begin with a 0800 shotgun start.  The cost for the tournament is only $10 plus your normal golf fees, the entry fee covers the cost of a drink and prizes after the tournament.  Call, email or come in to sign up today.

NEW THIS YEAR - we will be hosting a book signing for a new book just released.  The book "Characters on the Green - Everyday Golfers are the Real Character of the Game" was written by a local military retiree J. Peter Hoyer.  Pete writes about some of his most memorable moments in his lifetime playing the great game of golf and some of his stories even take place on both Eaglewood and The Pines!  Come and meet Pete and have him sign a copy of his new book.  "Characters on the Green" is available in both JBLE Golf Shops now.

  
***Tip of the Week - Distance control on your putts no matter what the angle***
  
Chances are we all feel more comfortable with controlling our distance on a putt if it is either uphill or downhill, but not both.  In order to be a good and consistent putter no matter what the angle we must practice both uphill and downhill putts.  The best way to do this is to hit a ten foot putt on a flat part of the putting green and then hit that same amount of power on the uphill putts and the downhill putts and pay close attention to the difference.  This will help you judge the distances on the course no matter what the angle of the putt might be.  Practice this and you should see your overall number of putts start falling.
