[jlab-9hgl 00847] 2016 Golf Season Information UPDATE

Hello golfers, 

Some updated information (please read and respond as necessary): 


    * FYI....the attached spreadsheet (ordered by handicap) is provided for your reference and has the information I have received so far. 
    * The mail list has been updated with all of the new golfers. If you are receiving this email and no longer wish to please send me a note and I'll take you off the list. 
    * We have 10 brand new golfers, 2 returning golfers who had not played last year and 45 golfers from last year giving us a total of 57. We have enough players for 8 teams! 
    * Teams will be formed by draft with the persons making the selections determined by the lowest handicaps in the league. The eight lowest handicappers are Chris Dreyfuss, Jim Clark, Gary Croke, Kelly Dixon, Phil Kessler, Dennis Merritt, Wes Moore and Mark Ito. I would like to hold the draft at lunch time this Thursday or Friday. I ask that these gentlemen let me know if they can make it. If not I'll go down the list until I have eight drafters. 
    * Kelly Dixon, Mike Spata, Phil Adderley, Mike Zarecky, Kelly Tremblay, Alan Gavalya and Tom Carstens have all agreed to serve as Captains this year. Once teams are selected we'll see where we need someone else to step up. Each team will be asked to nominate one person to serve. The Captains Duties are listed in the rules . 
    * There are nine golfers on the list who need handicaps. The draft can occur without these in hand. If any of these golfers would like to provide an estimate for the draft please do so. You must have an established handicap before you can play. 
    * I would like to know your availability for this season to help the draft process. Let me know if you can play All weeks, Every Other Week, Most Weeks or some other specific availability. A null response will be interpreted as being available Every Other Week. Fourteen golfers have already provided input. 
    * Mark Ito is organizing a preseason event for April 4. He sent email earlier today. 
    * League play will start on April 11. 
    * Blocks of tee times for both courses will be reserved for league play. We are asked to do our best to send off 4 golfers per slot. 
    * So far eleven people have paid the $20 dues. Please see Phil Adderley in Test Lab 1215-21 or call at extension 7200 to arrange payment.
