It occurs to me that we may have an odd number of players today. In that 
case the random pairings will leave one player out. So we need a rule 
for that. So I am making one up. Here it is:

If the random pairing leaves one player out, that player's score will 
count for each hole. If that player places high enough for a prize, the 
player will collect a double prize, one for himself or herself and one 
for his or her imaginary partner.
