With Teams 1 and 2 idle this week, all the action was on the Cardinal course.

Team 3, led by Al Gavalya's 17 points and Beni Zihlmann's 16 points, got the
win against Team 7, 64-36. Doug Tilles recorded his first Birdie.

In the other match, Team 8 was paced by Jim Clark's 17 points and Mark Ito's
16 points as they got past Team 4, 62-38. With the help of 6 Pars, Ito ended
with a 40. A double on the last hole denied him a 39. Clark and Danny Machie
each had a Birdie.

The losses for Teams 4 and 7 ended their 2016 season.

There is no league golf scheduled for next Monday, Labor Day.
League play will resume on the following Monday (the 12th) on the Deer Run course.

Matches are as follows:

Team 1  vs  Team 2  (Winner will advance to the Championship Round)

Team 3  vs  Team 8  (Loser will be eliminated)
