***Frisbee Golf has come to JBLE***

The wait is over...Frisbee Golf is HERE. For the FIRST TIME ever JBLE is offering Frisbee Golf. Frisbee golf is open for play starting 1 April 2018. This family friendly activity can be enjoyed by kids and adults of all ages and requires no golf experience of any kind. If you can throw a Frisbee you can play. The price for Frisbee golf will only be $3 per person ($10 maximum for family play) which gets you unlimited access all day long. We have Frisbees available for purchase (by the individual disc, sets of discs and bags to help carry your discs), we also have Frisbees you can rent if you do not have one to use. The Pines Golf Course at Fort Eustis has an 18 hole course and Eaglewood Golf Course on Langley AFB has 9 holes ready to go with another nine to come in the weeks to come. Come out at any time the golf course is open, no reservations necessary.

The Pines Golf Course at Fort Eustis is proud to be introducing The Quick Six! We have reconfigured the Shortleaf Course into our new Quick Six. What you have known as holes 1-5 & 9 will become our Quick Six Layout. This will give you the opportunity to play six full size championship golf holes in a little over an hour. If you don't have a full hour, then don't worry you just tell us how many holes you do have time to play and will give you a price that can't be beat. The Quick Six will cost you only $1 per hole if you are walking and only $2 per hole if you are riding. The Quick Six will be open for play in just a few weeks. Need a new innovative team building exercise? We have the perfect option for you. Come out to The Pines Golf Course at Fort Eustis and play the Quick Six hole course, have a catered lunch and be back in the office in under two hours! Looking for a FUN FAMILY ACTIVITY? Look no further! JBLE golf will be hosting two Welcome Back to Golf Family Days in mid-April. These days will be FUN, they will be FILLED with activities and they will be FREE...that's right FREE! On Saturday 14 April from 1000-1200 at Eaglewood Golf Course on Langley AFB and on Saturday 21 April from 1000-1200 at The Pines Golf Course at Fort Eustis we will be having FREE Golf Clinics, FREE contests, FREE door prizes, FREE Bouncy Castles, FREE Hot Dogs, FREE Chips and FREE Drinks. And if that wasn't enough to entice you to come out to the golf course we will also be giving away FREE Frisbee golf all day on these days. ***3 Club Tournaments to be played in April***

Due to the rainy weather in March we have decided to postpone our very popular 3 Club Tournaments until April.  They will be played at Eaglewood on Saturday 14 April and at The Pines 21 April both with a 0800 shotgun start. The 3 Club Tournaments are a great opportunity to use your favorite club! Each player will be able to choose three clubs and only clubs with which to play then entire round of golf. Choose wisely as your score depends on it. The cost to participate in the 3 Club Tournament is only $25 for AGF Members, $27 for Active Duty Military and $35 for all other players; the price includes your golf, cart, range balls, prizes and lunch...certainly a deal that cannot be beat. ***Get Golf Ready Classes Starting Soon***

Do you need to Get Golf Ready for the golf season? Sign up for one of our Get Golf Ready Programs. These are great programs that will teach you every part of the golf game from tee to green and everything in between...even other things too. The program consists of 5 group sessions that get you out on the golf course in a fun atmosphere each and every time. We have two different options for price in these classes $149 per person or $199 per person. Both options get you the golf lessons, 6 free greens fees, and a driving range credit to practice your skills and the $199 option includes a set of golf clubs that are yours to keep. ***Callaway Demo Days coming in May***

Save the dates for your opportunity to hit the new line of Callaway Golf equipment. You can schedule a custom fitting or just come out to try the new clubs. They will have both their Epic and Rogue product lines as well as wedges and irons. Callaway will be at The Pines Golf Course at Fort Eustis on Tuesday 15 May from 1500-1800 and at Eaglewood Golf Course on Langley AFB on Tuesday 22 May from 1500-1800. Mark it down, this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.

***Kids' Summer Golf Camps***

We are in the process of scheduling our kids' summer golf camps here at JBLE. We know some of the dates right now and will know the rest of the dates in the coming weeks. The camps that are ready to take registrations will be held at Eaglewood Golf Course 25-29 June, 9-13 July & 13-17 August; each camp will have separate times and instruction for ages 5-9 and 10-13. We will also be holding a specialized camp for the teens out there planning to come out for their high school teams; that camp will be 23-27 July. Call 764-4547 to sign up your kid today. The camp dates at The Pines will be available soon.

***PGA Professional Tip of the Week - Focusing your practice will lead to better scores***

We often hit balls on the range, and hit them well, only to head to the golf course to forget WHY we were hitting them well. Focusing your practice time will help you shoot better scores. To do this you simply remember the two most important tips you have had from your most recent golf lesson. After you remember what those tips are you separate all of your practice balls in to groups of three. Then you pick one of the tips and focus on that and only that for the first group of three balls and then switch to the second tip for the second group of balls and then alternate back and forth each group and what tip you are focusing on. Pay attention to what thought is getting the best results and that is the ONE thought you take with you to the golf course. Focus on that thought with each shot and you will find your good swings from the range will follow you on to the course.
