Golfers,

The standings were just updated with the correct number of wins for Team 5, who now has sole possession of 1st place with one week left in the regular season.

P.S.  A quick explanation for those interested:

Typical match has two teams playing for their share of 100 points.  In this case Team 5 had the CARD playing for them and the CARD can score NO points.  Any points earned by the CARD is subtracted out of their final total.

A lot of our stats use spreadsheets to automate the calculations as much as possible each week.  A tip of the cap to Kelly Tremblay for this luxury.

In a typical week any team scoring less than 50 points did not get the win but in this case Team 5's 47 points was enough for victory.

The spreadsheet automatically assigns a loss to any team with less than 50 points but it also has a sanity check with the sum of the # of wins and losses for each week.... 4 wins and 4 losses (unless there is a rare tie).  I forgot to take a glance at those columns like I should have with this being a non-typical week.

BTW -  I double checked the two other weeks in which the CARD played.  In both of those cases the team with the CARD lost outright and the standings from those weeks were correct.
