Golfers,

There are still three more slots left for the Kick-Off Event on Monday (Apr. 1, day after tomorrow). You can sign up right up to the last minute; the 20 player limit is due to the number of tee times we have. Clearly, as long as there is a tee time, you can play. Clearly, if you do not sign up, your eligibility for prizes will be reduced drastically. ;-)

I will be out of town on Monday and Joe Grames has graciously volunteered to collect scores and generally run things.

  *   We are playing the front 9 of the Cardinal Course.
  *   The first group out needs to bring out the closest-to-the-pin marker and place it on the fifth green. Joe will have the marker. He gets it from the clubhouse folks.
  *   The last group out needs to pick up the closest-to-the-pin marker on the fifth green and give the card to Joe.
  *   Send your scores to Joe, grames at jlab.org<mailto:grames at jlab.org>. Please do not mark scores relative to par, i. e., if you shoot a 6 on the first hole, a par 4, mark down a 6, not a 2.
  *   If you are new to the league, you can use your score as one of your handicap submissions.

We have space for 20 players. Entries beyond 20 go on the wait list. Four slots are already spoken for!

It goes like this: each player will submit scores for their nine holes. When play is over players will be matched in pairs and the better of the scores for each hole will be used for their team score. No handicaps are applied.

Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  There is also a prize for closest-to-the-hole on the par-3 fifth hole.

Remember first come, first served.
