But the first case applies to a ball hit into a hazard and was found--this is of little help in most cases at NNGC if only getting a two club relief from where the ball is located in the woods or back on a line between the ball and the hole.  The second case is closer to a lost ball on the hazard but again provides little relief.
If the woods are considered to be red hazard areas by our league, which I think they are, then we can take a lateral drop at the point where the ball was believed to have entered the woods (although this boundary isn't always clear).
Is this correct?  I couldn't find the league rules from the web page.
