JLab-PWA working group
-----------------------------------
Minutes 8/10/12
=============

- JLab-pwa Wiki page is up - We will keep meeting minutes and latest information about the group activities on this page. (we will also include links to software packages,...and interesting information on PWA).

- ROOTPWA (COOMPASS software) is installed in the JLab machines (see wiki) - thanks to Diane. But it is working in the CLAS (g12) environment. This brought the necessity for the JLab-PWA group to create a "Hall independent group account - space" in the JLab computing structure. Mark and Dennis will look into this.

Among all tasks that we are considering in front of us (see i.e a list in our wiki), we decided to choose two problems to focus first (no because they are easy!):

1) Leakages = resolution/acceptance effects in the PWA (how to incorporate these effects into the PWA framework instead of the trial and error method we use currently). Our current software does not deal directly with angular resolutions and bin migrations. Can we (and will be better) correct the "experimental" and "physics" causes of leakages at the fitting level?.

2) Baryon contamination = instead of the "ad-hoc" introduction of baryon vertices in some of the current PWA software (some infrastructures are doing better than others), determine: what is the best way to deal with this problem?

-some discussion on how to proceed with those topics started at the meeting. we need to review how those problems have been tackled up to now.

- sub-working groups will be formed to attack those problems (names will be proposed next meeting).

Hope to see you next time
-Carlos
