Subject: JLab data analysis cluster upgrade: 512 cores, CentOS 6.2

The newest additions to the physics data analysis cluster at JLab are available for use, increasing the farm's compute capacity by 50%.

The new nodes, 32 16-core Sandy Bridge systems with 32GB RAM and running CentOS 6.2, are now in service. Use the OS: centos62 tag with your jsub submission. One system serves as the interactive user node "ifarm", the front-end to this new resource.

The existing compute farm will be upgraded at a later date.

Please contact me, helpdesk at jlab.org, or the Physics computing coordinators (A-ole at jlab.org, B-weygand at jlab.org, C-brads at jlab.org, D-marki at jlab.org, heyes at jlab.org) with questions, comments, or suggestions.
