Version 5.34 of ROOT is available on all the computers at JLab,
see /apps/root.  In some cases, the PRO link has not been updated;
the link will be updated by CC at the next scheduled maintenance (Nov 14).

To use a particular version, for example on Centos 6.2

    use root/5.34.01
or
    source /apps/root/5.34.01/setroot_CUE
or
    make the equivalent of this in your login script.

There could be slightly different versions of ROOT, depending
on the computer system, so do "ls /apps/root" first.

When I build new ROOT versions, I have a set of benchmarks, stress
tests, and a checklist to verify the libraries we want have been
built.  If something is missing please let me know and we'll fix it.
E.g. a few weeks ago a postdoc noticed Python support was missing;
working together we fixed it, and now Python is on my checklist.
This is the kind of interaction we need to make improvements.
