All,
Jefferson Lab's CentOS 5 data analysis environment is reaching end-of-life. Starting October 1, the CentOS 5 interactive node ifarm1101 and accompanying batch farm nodes will be limited to business day support. The 2008 CentOS 5.3 systems will be retired and decommissioned with the arrival of the new 2013 nodes this fall. The 2009 systems will be upgraded to CentOS 6 at the start of 2014.
Use the ifarm.jlab.org alias to access the interactive CentOS 6.2 user node ifarm1102.jlab.org, and the tag "OS: centos62" to submit jobs to the CentOS 6.2 batch farm.
Please direct any questions or issues to your Hall Computing Coordinator or to me, Sandy.Philpott at jlab.org. Visit scicomp.jlab.org for current system status and other useful information.
Regards,
Sandy
