JLab Data Analysis Cluster Users,
This message is from Mauri Ungaro, for the ENP Computing Committee:
A new version of the JLab software libraries is available. Version 1.1 include these updates:
- QT: 4.8.5 and "system" are now supported.
- geant4: 4.9.6.p02 —> 4.9.6.p03
- gemc: 1.8 —> 2.1
- JANA: 0.7.1p3 —> 0.7.2
- banks: 0.9 —> 1.0
- scons_build_system: 1.0 —> 1.1
- ROOT: stays at 5.34.13
The "production.csh", currently pointing at 1.0, will be updated next Tuesday, Nov. 11 to 1.1.
We now have 3 versions of libraries:
- “devel"
- 1.1 (was "devel")
- 1.0
Devel includes geant4 v 10, qt5 and CCDB support.
Details on what's in each version can be found here .
Users can quickly setup the environment as before:
source /site/12gev_phys/production.csh
source /site/12gev_phys/devel.csh
Users can also select custom versions using the JLAB_VERSION env variable:
setenv JLAB_ROOT /site/12gev_phys
setenv JLAB_VERSION 1.0
source $JLAB_ROOT/$JLAB_VERSION/ce/jlab.csh
All versions of the libraries will be kept. However the following obsolete directories in /site/12gev_phys will be removed:
