CentOS Linux 7.7 for the Farm
An initial set of CentOS 7.7 nodes (320 farm18 job slots) are available for use. The new nodes are tagged with centos77 in Auger and Slurm. To support interactive sessions, ifarm1802 has been rebuilt as a CentOS 7.7 machine.
Please test your code on these machines at your convenience. Barring any problems, the remainder of the farm will be gradually upgraded to CentOS 7.7 in the coming weeks. A few notes:
* CentOS 7.7 farm nodes have the same packages as the ifarm to support interactive slurm sessions
* The QCD12s nodes in the farm will remain at CentOS 7.2
* The Farm19 AMD nodes will arrive this month and be built at CentOS 7.7
* CentOS 7.7 nodes support CVMFS
Please let us know of any issues with the new farm node configuration.
