[Jlab-scicomp-briefs] Tape library service recovery underway

Yesterday, a tape library database change intended to improve performance unexpectedly failed, requiring a time-consuming rollback. As a result, the tape library has been and remains out of service until the database recovers. Operations will continue normally after this process completes. No data was compromised.

The library is forecast to be online again at 1:00pm today, April 9th.

We apologize for the unscheduled outage and will examine our change control procedures to avoid similar outages going forward.
