Software & Computing Round Table, May 5, 11:00 a.m. (EDT)

Dear all:

In tomorrow’s Software & Computing Round Table at 11:00 a.m. (EDT), we will discuss “Status of Monte Carlo". We are excited to hear from Simon Plätzer, Christian Bierlich, and Stefan Hoeche:

  * Simon Plätzer (Vienna) will review the status of Monte Carlo event generators for electron-proton processes and discuss also simulations of electron-ion processes.
  * Christian Bierlich (LUND) will present simulations of heavy-ion collisions with Pythia8/Angantyr.
  * Stefan Hoeche (FNAL) will talk about efficiency improvements in MC event generation.

The detailed agenda is available on: https://www.jlab.org/indico/event/356/

We will use BlueJeans (ID: 373678588) for the remote meeting. You will be able to join via browser:

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and Jefferson Lab (JLAB) are organizing a Software & Computing Round Table to foster the interplay of computing and science. The monthly round table forum aims to encourage knowledge transfer and to promote common projects within our scientific community. More information about the Software & Computing Round Table (upcoming meetings, previous presentations) can be found on: https://www.jlab.org/roundtable

Yours sincerely,

Alexander Kiselev (BNL)
