[Jlab-scicomp-briefs] Maintenance Day Changes for Scientific Computing November 16 2021

Tomorrow, November 16, the following changes will be made to the batch farm environment as part of monthly maintenance

  *   Slurm job email notifications will include a summary of the job's CPU and memory utilization.
     *   Enabling email notification is done using the --mail-type option in sbatch.
     *   Typical cases are --mail-type=END or --mail-type=FAIL.
     *   See the sbatch man page for more options for the use of this debugging tool.
  *   The ongoing update of farm nodes from CentOS 7.7 to CentOS 7.9 continues.
  *   OSG servers will be patched to recommended software releases.
