[Jlab-scicomp-briefs] Upcoming Outages for JLab Compute Clusters and Tape Storage - Aug 10 & 17.

Two planned outages are scheduled for Jefferson Lab Compute Clusters and Tape Storage. The first window is to make changes to the data center chilled water cooling system. The second is to perform data center electrical maintenance.

These outage will impact the farm, the lattice QCD clusters, ifarm, qcd interactive nodes, Jupyter Hub, and all tape related work including the jget, jput, and jcache commands. Central services including web servers, databases, and file servers will be unaffected by this work.

The two outages will be

  *   Thursday, August 10th 5:00am -- 6:00pm.
  *   Thursday, August 17th 5:00am -- 6:00pm.

Jobs in the queue with run times that would extend into the outage window will be held until the scheduled work is completed.
