[Jlab-scicomp-briefs] Scheduled LDAP Service Outage Notification – March 18, 2025

Dear Users,
We would like to inform you about a scheduled maintenance for our LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) service, which is managed by the CNI Team, on March 18, 2025. During this maintenance window, the LDAP service will be temporarily unavailable.
Maintenance Details:

  *   Start Time: March 18, 2025, at 7:00 AM
  *   End Time (Estimated): March 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM
  *   Affected Services: Login services, LDAP-dependent applications, and user authentication.

Impact:

  *   Users may experience issues logging in or accessing services that rely on LDAP for authentication.
  *   Password changes, account modifications, and access to LDAP-backed applications will be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance window.
  *   Filesystems and Network Shares: Filesystems or network shares that are dependent on LDAP for user authentication or access control may be inaccessible or experience delays during the outage.

Please plan accordingly for this scheduled downtime, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. A follow-up notification will be sent once the maintenance is completed and the LDAP service is fully restored.
