"Flavor Decomposition of the Nucleon Electromagnetic Form Factors"

In order to do the complete separation of the three lightest quarks
contributions to the electromagnetic properties of the nucleon, several
Parity Violation(PV) electron scattering experiments have been carried
out during the last decade. The G0 experiment at the Thomas Jefferson
National Accelerator Facility measured the PV asymmetry in the cross
section for polarized electrons off liquid hydrogen and deuterium.
Measurements were made at two momentum transfers 0.23 and 0.62
(GeV/c)2. Combined with forward angle measurements by the same
collaboration on a hydrogen target, the contribution of strange quarks
to the proton's charge and magnetization distributions are determined.
Details of the experimental setup including the data acquisition and
electronics readout will be shown. Final results of the complete
separation of the strange electric and strange magnetic form factors
will be presented and compared to a variety of theoretical predictions.
Complete decomposition of the nucleon electromagnetic form factors to
the lightest three flavors is obtained.
