*Electromagnetic Polarizabilities of Pions and Nucleons

The response of hadrons to electromagnetic probes is highly constrained 
by chiral dynamics; but, in some cases, predictions
have not compared well with experimental data. I give a biased review of 
the electromagnetic polarizabilities of pions and
nucleons, including a slant on recent efforts to determine 
polarizabilities from first principles.
