*High-Energy QCD Factorization in DIS and pA Collisions *

Giovanni A. Chirilli
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

In pA collisions for single-inclusive hadron production, the proton,
treated as a diluted system, emits a quark or a gluon that eventually
scatters off a dense target like a large nucleus. In this process, the
collinear factorization and the high-energy rapidity factorization enter
on the same footing. It is then important to show that these two types
of divergences indeed factorize. We show that, at one-loop order, the
collinear divergences of the incoming parton distribution functions of
the nucleon and of the outgoing fragmentation functions of the final state
hadron factorize from the rapidity divergence of the small-x dipole gluon
distribution of the nucleus: the collinear divergences produce the DGLAP
evolution equations for parton distribution and fragmentation functions,
while the rapidity divergence produce the Balitsky-Kovchegov equation for
the dipole gluon distribution of the nucleus.
